Ok, today I get to share some GOOD NEWS!  I've gotten some responds thinking my GOOD NEWS was that I'm pregnant!  Not a chance . . . if I were . . . GREAT, but that's not the kind of news I'm about to share.

Irina, the owner of La La Land Crafts, has asked me to be her Guest Designer for the months of March - April.  Woohoo!  I graciously accepted & I get to work with such a great team of talented ladies.  You have to check out their blogs and see their wonderful work!   Thank you so much Irina for believing in me!

With that said, I wanted to offer up some CANDY for this new venture, this new JOURNEY.  Here's what I'm giving away . . .

CUPCAKE ROSIE STAMP

This CANDY will end on Tuesday, March 2nd midnight HST.  I will throw in a few other items along with this rubber stamp!  Please do not post this CANDY on your blog, this is for my "blog friends" who come to visit me.  :)  Just leave me a comment and 1 lucky winner to be announced on Wednesday, March 3rd.

Come On Baby Light My Fire!

Quick post today.  Guess what?  Today is 1LuvnDad's birthday!  Woohoo, he's "19"!  That makes me "18" as he puts it!  We always talk about how we are the same age for just one day.

Anyway, I made this card for him last night.  Can you tell what he does for a living?  Hmmmm . . . .

I used Rescue Ian from TGF & my firetruck stamp by Whipper Snapper Designs that I purchase some time ago.  I'm always on the look out for firefighter/firetruck stamps.  Let me know if you see any!!

Tried to post this earlier today but had some technical difficulties on my end and we had a "date night"!  Don't get much "dates" in these days . . . the kids rule our lives!  ;)  Btw, the firetrucks and turnouts that the firefighters wear here in the islands are yellow, not red.  I have yet to find any DP's with a yellow firetruck.

Happy Birthday Honey!  You've been lighting my fire everyday for the past 18 years!  Luv u 2 pieces!

Going for Gold at the Winter Olympics

I know you must be thinkin', "What is going on?" right?  What's with the Christmas card?  I started participating in a new challenge called I Dream of StampingIt's a Winter Olympic relay over at that blog!  Here is what I created for Challenge #3-Ice, Ice, Baby!

I used my Paper Pretties Gliding By Stamp that I receive from my dear friend Lisa.  For the "ICE" I used my Martha Stewart Fine & Course Crystals to create the ice effect.

Here is a closer look . . . I tried to photograph the crystals.  Sorry if you can't see it, but she's skating pretty on ice with snow falling around her!  I also added some Fun Flock to keep her nice and cozy!

If you get a chance, join in on the fun!  ;)

Seeing RED?

Hey there!  I hope you're having a wonderful weekend thus far!  I've been quite busy over this weekend  with kids activities and some friends booked a last minute trip to come to Hawaii so we were able to spend some time together.  I managed to get in a little crafting in my down time.

My gf Enjoli gave me this really cute stamp from TSRD of a musubi (rice ball with a nori or seaweed wrap).  This is my first TSRD image and I hope to add more to my collection 'cause they're so cute!   I decided to try the TSRD challenge using this image.  Obviously, I was so excited about the challenge that I just jumped right in without reading all the details.  I made a clam box and was quite satisfied . . . oh, boy, I then realized that I had to come up with an altered project instead.  So, I dug up my empty Altoids cannister and altered that!  I added a bag of Japanese Green Tea and a package of Ochazuke Nori (seasoning for rice soup) to the box and cannister.  What a cute gift to give my out-of-town friends . . . a gift to remind them of "home".

The clam box . . .

The altered cannister . . .

Side view . . .

A close up of the musubi . . . I heat embossed the image . . .

The inside with the goodies!

Also, entered these in a couple of other challenges going on:

~ LLWWC26 - RED

~ Cupcake Craft Challenge #78 - Keep It Simple

~ I Dream of Stamping #2 - Embossing (used my heat embosser for this image)

Ingredients?
TSRD stamp, CS & DP, nesties, corner rounder, Tim Holtz paper distressor (my new tool!), altoids cannister, ribbon, red bling, foam dots, copics.  That simple!

Cupcakes & some CANDY! *CLOSED*

Ok, since I've been receiving some birthday RAKS lately, I just have to clarify that my birthday hasn't happened yet.  I haven't announced it except on Joy's blog . . . A Place To Be Me . . . when she had her Birthday Blog Candy giveaway.  She had her loyal "blog friends" answer some questions and one of them being, "When is your birthday?".  So, since my birthday is coming up, I am putting up some CANDY for you!  It'll also be my 6 month blogaversary too come March 1st & I have some other exciting things coming up for me that I will share later.  Boy, lots to celebrate huh!

There will be 2 lucky duckies to grab my CANDY {**Or 1 lucky ducky will take the mother load!}.  Here's what I'm giving away.

1-Sizzix 3-D Three Tier Cake
1- Pearls and Crystals
~ The winner for the Sizzix package will be chosen by random drawing.

Ok, I was going to add a $20 bill, but thought I'd make a game outta this one.  I asked my son to choose a number from 1 to 20.  Whatever number he chose is the amount that is in this cupcake gift card/money holder.

When you pull out the cherry on top, the moolah is attached to it!  Sorry, blurred out the cash, but it's going to 1 lucky guesser!  ;)

1-Cupcake Gift Card/Money Holder (with the moolah in it!)
1-Stampavie Rachelle Anne Miller Stamp
1-Lush Black Ribbons
1-Bloom-Lets White Paper Flowers

Here are the rules:

1.  Do NOT post this on your blog!  This CANDY is only for my loyal "blog friends" who come to visit me and leave such sweet comments!  {And I know who you are!  ;) }  **Joy, I luv your idea and I'm stealing it! {smiles}

2.  Take a guess at how much moolah is in the cupcake gc holder.  The person closest without going over the amount will win this CANDY.  If there is more than one person guessing the right amount, I will do a random drawing.  Remember, my son chose the number, not me!

3.  This CANDY will remain open until Wednesday, February 24th.  I will announce the winner(s) on Thursday, February 25th!  **This CANDY is now CLOSED . . . Will announce the winner on the 25th!**

Okie dokie!  I hope that's clear for you . . . you may possibly win both packages if your lucky!

Last note:  Wanna know how I made the Cupcake Gift Card/Money Holder?  Check out Tresa Black's blog, Fabulously Artsy!  I held on to this tutorial for a while just for this moment . . . She makes it look so easy in her video.   Boy, it took me some time to prep and put together . . .  it'll be hard for me to part ways with the cupcake, but this pretty little thing will make someone really happy!  :)  Thanks for JOURNEYing with me on my many adventures!

Good morning world!

Just wanted to share some RAKS I received from a couple of sweet gals.  First one is from Michelle, over at Mushi's Creative Inspirations.  She surprised me with this . . .

I luv those sweet images!  And look at that bag stuffed with goodies!  OMGosh Michelle!  I luv it all . . . so sweet of you to send me b-day wishes.  ;)

Here's all the goodies that was inside the homemade bag.  I wonder if she has her own HK store?  Cute stuff!

These notebooks were given to me by Enjoli, over at Stamping Under The Sun.  I just luv the colors {pink & brown} & how she added Megan to these . . . Just puts a smile on my face 'cause I'm just as sassy as she is!  Hand on the hip and all!

Oh my gosh . . . So many goodies to play with!  Enjoli, you are way too sweet and so very generous!  Thank you so much!

Ok, I hope you're not tired of seeing this Desk Tidy.  Anyway, this is the last one I made.  Rockabilly will be going to a friend . . . I hope she likes her!    Can you make out what Rockabilly is sitting on?  If not, it's a cupcake.  I used my cupcake QuicKutz die.

Another Desk Tidy, but X-tra LARGE!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to y'all in blogland!  I hope you are enjoying your day!  As promised, I said I would post the larger version of the Desk Tidy.  Click {HERE} to see the tutorial for the mini version.

OMGosh!  I'm so in luv with Amy Young's Sweet November Stamps.  If you don't know Amy or know of her wonderful creations, then my question is, "Where have you been?"  GO CHECK OUT HER BLOG and you will not be disappointed!  Her stamps & digis can be found at All That Scraps.

Chanter Heartsong is one of my favorite Sweet November Fairies . . . then again, I have many favs like Sparkle Thistleweed {wink, wink}, Tangle Goblinshimmer, Ginger, Figet Goblinspider . . . need I keep going?  :)

Anyway, I made this Desk Tidy for Enjoli.  She had a birthday recently and I was finally able to meet her while she was visiting here on Oahu.  Can you tell what her favorite colors are?  She is such a sweetie and is very talented in her crafts!  Check out her blog at Stamping Under the Sun.

This is the back.  I had to adjust the measurements to the business card section and added a partition so that Enjoli would be able to put something else into the second compartment.  Look closely and you can see where I put the partition.

There she is, all sweet and dandy . . . one of my sweeties, Chanter Heartsong!  ;)  Boy, I have so much to share.  Just don't know in what order or how to go about posting everything.  In any case, thanks for stopping by and ta-ta for now!

Mini Desk Tidy for Valentine's Day!

Happy Saturday all!  Getting ready for the BIG V-day tomorrow?  Boohoo for me . . . hubby will be working tomorrow so it's just me and the kids.  Don't pity me though, I already had my Valentine's dinner the other day.  We celebrated real early this year.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you a Mini Desk Tidy I made for some special blog friends.  I'm pretty sure they received these today.  You can find the tutorial for this {HERE}.

This is the front.  I made 6 of these in varying colors using the Pure Innocence digis.  I had cut index cards to fit in the box.
This is the back.  In the tutorial, this is where you would put your business cards, but I just put a post-it there.

And here is a closer look.  I used the SU scallop punch that Brenda sent me . . . you're so sweet gf!  :)  I made another Desk Tidy that I'll post tomorrow.  This one I made BIGGER so that I didn't have to cut the index cards!  See you back here!

RAK & A Birthday Wish from Sweet 'Ol Brenda!

As I posted yesterday, I wanted to share what I received from Brenda.  Let me tell you, she is just pure amazing at those PUNCHES . . . thus, being named the "PUNCH QUEEN"!  Check these out!

She sent all these goodies for Valentine's Day & my upcoming birthday!  So sweet!  I suppose that's why she's also known by her blog name, "Sweet As A Gumdrop".  I suggest you run your pretty fingers over to her blog and check out all her creations.  Plus, she is part of the Craft Project Central.   Run your pretty fingers over there too!  Brenda made the Hello Kitty notepad, the mini milk carton stuffed with all these flowers that I layed out for all to see, and a mini fold out album!  Here is a small glimpse at what one panel looks like.  Click {HERE} to see the whole effect.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH DEAR FRIEND!  YOU INSPIRE ME WITH ALL YOUR CREATIONS . . . YOU ARE AN AMAZING WIFE, MOTHER, AND FRIEND!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO YOU!!!

If you noticed, I've been a bit MIA on my creations these days.  Been busy with life, but trying to get my projects done.  I've been working on some Valentine's stuff and other projects too!  None of which I can completely finish. Are you that way?  My craft station looks like a war zone!  Unfinished projects everywhere!  Well, good news is that I forced myself to finish my V-day projects so I can get it mailed out.  Checked that one off my looooooooooong list!  I will post that soon so come back to see it!

I Got Spark! Sparkle Thistleweed that is!

I just have to share this because I think Amy Young of A thousand sheets of paper is so amazing at what she does and talented in her craft!  She just revealed her adorable fairies from her February Sweet November Stamps collection.  You can check them out at All That Scraps.  This week, Amy is giving Sneak Peeks into her Easter collection.  OMGosh!  You gotta check them out 'cause those Baby Bunnies are so darn cute!  Anyway, Amy is known to do her Sneak Peeks of what she's releasing and is so generous to put up the stamps, some papers, embellies, and her very own creation up for Blog Candy.  I was thrilled when my name was drawn for one of the fairies . . . and I received this package in the mail the other day.

Introducing  . . . Sparkle Thistleweed!

Here's a closer look at the card!  Let me tell you, I was drooling over this card!  To have a one of a kind Amy Young creation in my HANDS!  ;)  To die for!  Guess what?  I inked her up already!

Collapsable Treat Box

Yesterday, I posted a card that I made for a friend whose birthday is coming up.    Click {here} to see it.  Here is a Collapsable Treat Box that I made to put a few goodies in for her.  I got the idea from a video tutorial I saw at Chic 'n Scratch Live.  Angie Kennedy Juda demonstrates how to make a Sweet Pea Candy Box.  I adapted her idea, but changed the dimensions to make a larger box approximately 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" x 1".

Here is the top of the box.

A closer look at Sophia from Paper Pretties.  I used the Paper Tole technique (for a challenge) to make the image "pop out".  There are 3 layers plus I paper pieced her pretty dress.

This is the front view of the box.

And this is the inside of the box.  I made this one collapsable so that it can be stored flat.  There's a lot of room to place all kinds of goodies.

Thought I'd enter this in some challenges.

~ Polka Doodle #5 - Paper piecing

~ Cute Card Thursday #98 - Spots & Dots!

~ KLSNS#16 - Pop It Up!

~ Whimsical Wednesday: The Diedrich Dare #21 - Sketch

Just would like to wish {BLEEP, BLEEP, BLEEP} a Happy Birthday!  I'll be sending your card and goodies out on Monday!  :)

And this is what it looks like folded up flat!

That's it folks!  I know, so unlike me for a short post.   Gotta get some rest . . . still recovering!  :)

WELL, HERE YOU GO!  HEARTS GALORE!

. . . The Tiffany & Co. Wedding . . .

Hey all!  I'm back to reality, well, not quite.  As most of you know (those that have been following my blog), my BFF had her wedding this past Saturday.  It rained Friday night and the the grounds were damp Saturday morning, but it turned out to be such a wonderful day come late afternoon.

The ocean view from my hotel room.

The bride looked stunning!  She is the last of us to get married and brought us to tears throughout the weekend!

Here we are in our hotel room freshening up before the ceremony.  The 3 of us wore completely different styled dresses and had different shoes as well.  Who was the Matron of Honor?  We all were!  We are all THE BEST OF FRIENDS!!!  **If you must know, I'm all the way to the right.

Okay, here is a picture of the table setup in the ballroom.  The Tiffany Box favor and the program were placed on the table for each person.  The centerpiece is a Tiffany Box Cake.  Yes, a cake!  There were 36 cakes altogether!

This is the bride and grooms cake.

I just had to take a picture of everything we've worked on for this wedding.  Yes, now you can see why I kept talking about the WHITE SATIN RIBBON FOR ALL THE BOWS WE HAD TO TIE!  There were the table tents, the invitations, the programs, the favor boxes, and the thank you's.

I have no mojo left in me!  This is what I did all yesterday . . . I tied 175 WHITE SATIN RIBBON BOWS on the Thank You cards.  Thank God that my BFF is the last one!  I luv her to death and would do anything for her, but I don't want to see any more of these bows ever!  :-)

Thanks for joining me on this long post.  Hopefully I can get up some courage to do a little crafting.  And . . . I will stop talking about WHITE SATIN RIBBONS!
