4 Drawer Easel Boxes

I had purchased the Matchbox Stampin' Up! Bigz Xl Die and thought it would be great to make all different kinds of projects with it.  The 4 drawer box was one of the projects I wanted to tackle.  I made the 4 drawer box and added an easel card to sit on top of it.  OMGosh! I couldn't believe I actually completed these.  I've been working on them for weeks now and finally got myself to finish them up.  Here's the box using the die.

I used this Pure Innocence image and decided to make it fun and cheerful.  I luv the oranges and how it turned out!

Now, I saw another 4 drawer box and it required no diecuts.  My La-La Land sister, Kristine, did a great tutorial on how she made her box, origami style.  I thought it would be neat to compare the 2 so I set off to make one using this tutorial, click {HERE} to see Kristine's instructions.

I used a Bugaboo Stamps image that my gf Joy U. printed out for me!  Thanks Joy!  She's a cutie! Doesn't this box look similar to the first one using the die?  Here's a picture of the 2 of them side by side.

See any difference?  Here's a look at what the individual drawer looks like.

Now you can see the difference.  The origami style makes a square-ish box and the height is a little over an inch while the Matchbox die creates a more rectangular box and the height measures about 3/4 inch.

I want to keep one of them as a sample for myself, but my sweet girls are on their way to their new homes.  I know they will be well cared for.  With that, I have to make another one just for me!  :)
