Want more? The Tiffany & Co. Explosion Cake in a Box!

Hey there!  I know, I know, enough about the Tiffany & Co. and those darn WHITE SATIN RIBBONS!!!!  But, you know what?  I just had too!  I can't get that trademark blue outta my mind . . . I realized that I created the Prince Ian card for the TGF CHA Relay Challenge in that color!  So not planned!!!

Since the wedding is on Saturday, I couldn't wait any longer to make a card/gift for my gf.  There's much to do for the wedding - - rehearsal, dinner, manicure, pedicure, check into the hotel, pick-up the dresses, and then the actual wedding.  Phew, thinking about it makes me exhausted!

Here's what I created for my gf and her husband-to-be, an Explosion Cake In A Box.

Yup, you guessed it . . . A LOT OF WHITE SATIN RIBBON/BOWS & THE TRADEMARK BLUE!  Not the exact blue, but pretty close to it.  I used a Currency silver CS and embossed the white CS with my embossing folder.  I handmade the paper flowers and used my Sizzix 3D Three Tier Cake Diecut.   I tried to stamp the sentiment onto the vellum, but it came out horrible so I ended up printing the sentiment off the computer.   I also made a pocket behind the cake to insert a gift card or to place the moolah in.

Here's a closer look at the stamped image of the bride & groom.  I got this stamp a long time ago by Juju's Tiny Treasures.  I didn't want my message to the bride & groom to be on the base of the Explosion Box so I inserted my message of well wishes on the inside of the lid/cover.  I hope she likes it!  :)

This project is up for a few challenges.

~ LLWWC23 - Gift Card Holder

~ DCRU #23 - Ribbons

~ Cute Card Thursday #97 - Flowers

~ Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge #6 - 3D Project

~ Stampin' Sisters In Christ #23 - A Tinge of GREEN (my tinge of green is a "TINGE")

Hope to see you all back on Sunday . . . or maybe Monday!  JOURNEY-ing to a wonderful weekend!  Woohoo!

TGF CHA Day 4: My Prince Charming!

I'm feelin' it!  My sweat beads are turning into waterfalls!  I took one look at TGF CHA Relay Challenge digi image #4 & screamed . . . Prince Ian is one good lookin' guy!   Sorry 1LuvnDad!  :{  Well, sadly to report that the Relay had abruptly ended due to some unforeseen problems . . . but I must say, good problems!  There were sooo many participants that the server just couldn't handle the uploads and high traffic.  Amazing!  But, at least those who participated had a blast and got some FREE digis!  Here's Prince Ian . . .

I figured Prince Ian would go great with Princess Anya, but wanted to reflect my "luv" story.  Yes, my hubby is my Prince Charming, but I'm so not the Princess type.  I'm kinda like, well, WS Megan.  She's rough around the edges and kinda "TITA".  TITA, is a slang we use in the islands for saying, "She's so unlady-like."  It is what it is . . . rough, tough, and not girly-girly.  With that, here's my card!

I did a Gate Card measuring 4-1/4" x 6".  There's my castle on the front!  Thought about tying a white satin ribbon bow, but I would just get nightmares seeing it!  If you don't know the story about "WHITE SATIN RIBBONS" check my older posts!  I, along with some of my gf's, had to tie about 1000 white satin bows for my gf's wedding . . . the wedding is this Saturday so I probably won't be posting come Friday and Saturday.

Ok, when you open up the card, there we are ~ Prince Ian & Megan.  Together forever!  As the sentiment puts it, "Fairy tales do come true {there's proof} I have you!"  I got that sentiment as a digi wordart by Heidi Larsen.  Do you see the glass tennis shoe Prince Ian is holding?  No stiletto shoes for me!  :)

Well, that's it for now.  How has the JOURNEY & the relay been for you?   I had FUN, FUN, FUN!!!  Stay tuned because I have a little montage & tribute to the TGF CHA Relay to show you (when I'm done with it!)   :)

TGF CHA Day 3: Boy Oh Boy Toby!

Good morning! Another day in the TFG CHA Relay . . . boy, my feet, or I should say hands, are feelin' the aches and pains of this amazing race! :) What's the gain without any sweat and tears? Anyway, meet -- Toby Cub!

OMGosh . . . he's such a sweetie, I adore him!  Toby Cub reminds me of my son - - high energy, always silly, and runs around in his underwear all day long!  My son is ALL BOY & wanted my card to be just that.

I followed the instructions from Beate Johns tutorial on the Tri-Shutter Card, click {HERE}.  So much cutting, but worth it when you see the results!  Toby Cub is playing amongst the frogs and bugs, it just screams FUN!  I've added some cute embellishments to bring this card to life - - a frog charm that's attached to the button on the flower and the frogs that were cut using my Cricut.

I had a jumpin' 'ol time making this card.  Thanks for JOURNEYing with me!  We are almost there . . . the finish line is just ahead of us!

Stamp and Create.com

I'm soooo excited!  I just found out that Joy, over at A Place To Be Me, is making her DT debut at Stamp and Create.com.  Lacey, over at Hand Stamped By Lacey, has created another blog to specifically feature DT and her Store's stuff.  Check it out!

I'd like to congratulate Joy on her BIG NEW ADVENTURE!  She deserves it with all the great creations she puts together . . . give her some LUV!  There is also some candy up for grabs too!

Have a good one everyone!  :)

TGF CHA Relay Day 2: Herrrrrrrrrrrrre's WS Charlotte!

Hey all!  What an exciting time over at the TGF.    The Galleria is filled with amazing creations with these new digis!  I'm smack right in there trying to complete cards made with the FREE digis.

Meet Wild Sprout Charlotte.  Ain't she just adorable!!!

I made an easel card and added some flowers and polka dot ribbon.  Charlotte's headband and scarf is cover with sparkly red stickles!  She's so sassy, I LUV IT!  Hope everyone is receiving their digis . . . what a fun opportunity to play in the TGF CHA Relay.

**Side note:  Amy, thanks sooooooooooo much!  You don't know how much your email lifted up my spirits!  :)

Will You Be My Wahine?

OMGosh!  TGF CHA Relay has begun!  If you want to play, you need to follow their rules and let me tell you, it's definitely going to be a challenge to keep up, but the reward is FREE digis.  Click {HERE} to see the rules.  But YES, you heard me right, FREE digis!

Meet Mer Ian.  He is the first of a hand full of digis offered in the relay challenge.  I took the idea of doing a 3 step card from Shirley, over at Stampin for the Fun of It.  She made this really cute card and I just had to snag the idea . . . thanks my dear friend!  :)  I thought this 3 step would be great to use because I had waves in mind when I saw Mer Ian.

He is admiring Hula Anya from afar wishing and hoping she'll be his wahine.  Wahine means woman/female in the Hawaiian language.  Do you think Hula Anya will accept Mer Ian's heart?  SURE SHE WILL!!!  Who could resist such a handsome guy!  :)

Here's the side view . . . I used my decorative scissors (haven't used these in a while) to make the blades of grass and the waves.   The honu (turtle) was made by punching out various sizes of circles and my word window punch.  Do you likey my bubbles in the ocean?   Those are dew drops!  Well, one card done, more to go!  Can't wait to see what the next digi will be!  The JOURNEY begins!

A Luv Box for a Special Friend

Good day!  Good gracious . . . a second post today?  I couldn't stop foolin' around with my cardstock and had another idea to make something for a special friend.

I took the sitting Miss Anya Love and placed her on this "Luv" Box.  I got the idea from Teri, over at big Ideas From A Little Girl.  She had put together a tutorial on her Spider Box, but I changed up the dimensions to make the box a bit bigger to fit more stuff inside the pull drawer.  When you open the cover, there's a place to write a sweet note inside.  Teri, she's so clever!  :)  I hope my "sweet" friend like this!

I'm not telling who this is for because I'm submitting this Luv Box to a couple of challenges.

Crazy 4 Challenges:  C4C21- Pretty in Pink

Thanks for stoppin' for this post!

Hello Sunshine!

The sun is out and I'm happy to be feeling quite healthy!  Thanks to all who left me such sweet comments and wishing me to get better . . . I decided to show my LUV and appreciation by creating this.

Doesn't this just brighten your day?  You all have brightened my days and I'm dedicating her to you!  Who is she?  Well, she's Dress Me Anya and Sassy Suzi all altered up!   I had so much fun altering my Surf Couple, I wanted to do some altering again.  Do you likey?  I'm entering this card in the Sunny Sendoff FFF Challenge over at The Greeting Farm.  Also, have her in the Saturday Spotlight Challenge . . . SSHP15: Let The Sunshine In!  I hope she'll brighten your day too!

Just what the doctor prescribed - Another Sweet RAK!

Boy, the Lord really wants me to get better!  I received a sweet RAK yesterday from Joni over at Crafty Hula Hands!   You have to check her blog out - - she really does have crafty hula hands!  Like I mentioned before, I was feelin' a bit under-the-weather, but not any more!  I'M DEFINITELY CURED!!!! :)  Joni's RAK put my illness back in its hole!

Joni made everything in PINK & BROWN . . . my most favorite-est color in the whole wide world!  Is that a word in the dictionary or what?  From left to right:  Joni made a card, a accordian card holder, and a magnet calendar using a coaster.  The calendar goes perfectly at my second work station, in my bedroom.  (Shirley's stationery calendar set is at my first work station, the living room.)

Here is what the accordian card holder looks like on the inside.

There 4 cards, all coordinating in pinks & browns, were inserted into the card holder.  So cute yeah!  :)  All I have to say is . . . WOW!

JONI ~ THANK YOU, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THIS GIFT!  IT MEANS A LOT TO ME AND IT TOTALLY MADE ME FEEL BETTER!  YOU ARE AMAZING AT WHAT YOU DO AND I'M SO GLAD WE'VE MET THROUGH BLOGGING!  ;)

Sending some LUV to my OCS partner . . . Joy!

***Before I begin my post, I just want you to know that I've added a lot of links to some very talented ladies.  Please click on the links and check out their blogs!

Hey all!  I'm pretty sure Joy got her package today in the mail so I think I'll post this.  I'm off to go to the final dress fitting.  Don't you remember the gazillion white satin bows I talked about in previous posts?  Well, next weekend is the wedding so posting during that time will be out of the question.  So, here we go . . . I  am again participating in an OCS swap that Teri puts together.  My partner for this month is Joy over at A Place To Be Me.   She sent me the sexy Lady Rose Dragon in a Shaker Picture Frame.

Here's my card for Joy.  I used this cute little girl from my Hero Arts stamp set.   Do you see that paper flower?  I had to try my hand at making these paper flowers.  Donna, over at three umbrellas, posted her flowers that she made and I knew I had to at least try my hand at making them.  Boy was it fun!  I couldn't stop for the life of me!  Here's where she got the tutorial, Raspberry Suite designs by Dawn McVey, click {HERE}.   Now do you remember this?  I made this Kleenex Package Holder at Denise's.  Some of you were asking for the tutorial so here it is:  Click {HERE} for the instructions written by Maria Bell.

Well, since this project was stuck in my mind, I decided to change it up alittle and create a larger version and made 2 side drawers with pulls for this.  Here's how it came out.

I do hope Joy likes this.  She gets a 2 for 1-er!  U R special Joy and I'm glad we finally "really" know each other!  Hee, hee!  :)  Glad to have been your partner this month and a HUGE thanks again for the Lady Rose Dragon that's sitting on my work station!

Am I Dreaming? RAK from Shirley!

The title says it all!  I must be dreaming!  Shirley, over at Stampin for the Fun of It, sent me her amazing creation!  She does some of the most detailed work and I am a forever a fan!   Please click your mouse & go visit Shirley's blog!  You won't be disappointed!

She had made a few of these Stationery Calendar Set & put one of them up for a Blog Candy.  Boy, when I saw her 3D project, I fell in LUV with it!  I just LUV 3D anything!  So, when Shirley was giving one away as a Blog Candy, I made sure I was right there in the comments section.  Amy, over at A thousand sheets of paper, won the candy yesterday!  Congrats Amy!  She is one talented lady!  I suggest you check out her blog people!

Anyway, I haven't been feeling that great for the past couple of days, but still able to check out everyone's blogs and do some emails.  But, when I received this in the mail and saw that Shirley sent me something, I couldn't wait to open the package.  OMGosh!  I did flips and cartwheels!  :)  I was feelin' just great!  This set is gorgeous in real life and I luv everything about it!

Geez, Shirley sent more stuff!  In the package there were a bag full of flowers, BLING, and a LOVE clear stamp.   Perfect for Valentines and for 1LuvnMama!

Shirley, THANK YOU TONS FOR THINKING ABOUT ME & I'M HONORED TO HAVE RECEIVED THIS SPECIAL GIFT FROM YOU!  YOU ARE AN AMAZING & TALENTED WOMAN WITH A GREAT BIG HEART!  I AM SOOOOOO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP!

RAKS & Projects

It's been nothing but busyness & madness over here.  In some ways, I thrive on the chaos . . . it drives me!  I hope you can stick with me here on this post because I have a lot to share.

First, I'd luv to thank Sweet 'ol Brenda for this Build-a-Bear packet.  She cut out all the bears and clothes to go with it . . . I really don't want to open the packet 'cause it's too darn pretty.  But, what good is a RAK if you don't use it?  I feel some pressure to come up with something using these bears.  Stay tuned people!  :)

Denise over at TINKER Crafts invited me to join her and a small group of crafters for a Friday Craft Night.  It was a fun time to craft and socialize!  Here is what I gave Denise for being so gracious in opening up her home and inviting me.

I've made 3 of these Easel Calendar Boxes only because Denise sent me 3 calendars to play around with.   Denise luvs Tinker Bell so why not make something she would like!  Here is a small RAK I made to give to the ladies.

I used the Pure Innocence digi images.  I stuffed the box with a packet of Japanese Green Tea & a couple of Ricola.  Why?  The project we worked on was this . . . a Travel Kleenex Packet Holder.

This is the one I made.  Ain't Tilda cute sitting in her chair.  She needs some LUVN 'cause she's come down with a bad cold!  OH NO!  NOT H1N1 . . . .

Here's the RAKS that I received from the ladies!  Thanks so much and HUGE thanks to Denise!  Alrighty . . . I can now concentrate on the other projects I need to get done.  My list seems to be getting longer but God never intended for us to be complacent right?  Have a JOURNEYful weekend!  :)

Got Surf or What?

Aloha!  I think today you'll be getting "cultured" again.  I had this project sitting on my work station along with other stuff I'm doing and thought I'd better get this done!  Here is what I'm submitting for the Club Anya & Friends:  Monday Mania With . . . Caz's Couple Challenge!

Picture taken from my balcony over
looking Punchbowl and Diamond Head.

Here is Surfer Ian and riding along is his babe Lolli Girl.  Before I get into what I did to create this, just wanted to know if you can see Diamond Head in the background.  Ok, ok . . . it was a voggy day here in Hawai`i Nei so clear skies were out of the picture (no pun intended).   But here, let me see if you can see it here?

Try clicking on the image to make it a little bigger.  Maybe even that is hard to see.  Never mind, just thought I'd give you a little glimpse.  Back to the card.  I did a lot of altering for this one . . . I made Surfer Ian's surfboard longer so that Lolli Girl could fit.  I Diamond Glazed the board to give it the look of a real surfboard.  Now on to Lolli Girl.  She is indeed Lolli Anya, but I took away her lollipop and her head.  YIKES!  I added the head of Dress Me! Anya and gave her opened eyes.  What'd ya think?

I freehanded Diamond Head in the background and colored with my copics.  The blue waves I printed off the computer and layered them with pop foam dots.  I had a bunch of diecuts that I have in my stash from a long time ago . . . the plumeria and laua`e fern which I added to the card.   Another layer used was acetate which covered the entire card & straw type ribbon.  And lastly, the sentiment printed out as well . . . my thoughts on life.  Here's the inside of the card:

Boy, I got really deep huh?  Well, I hope your JOURNEY is a smooth ride today.  MAHALO NUI LOA!

Watch out for the Lady Rose Dragon!

Holy wowzah!!!  Y'all gotta check this out!!!

This picture frame double shaker of Miss "Lady Rose Dragon" was done by the "Queen of Shakers", Joy over at A Place To Be Me for Teri's January OCS swap.  You just have to check out her blog!  She's got so much creative juices flowing.

This piece is stunning . . . for real!!!  I just luv everything (and I do mean everything) about it.  The BLING and pearls are shockingly gorgeous!  And PINK!!!  LUV pink!  It's bold and beautiful . . . Joy added the perfect pearls powder with a mist spray on the flowers and butterfly.  Can you see it?

And them microbeads (not to mention some other beads and dew drops) . . . what's a shaker without them!  JOY, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY {HEART}!   I'm so blessed to own one of your shakers!   Boy, you jumped on this baby so soon, I'm feelin' the pressure now!   My JOURNEY takes me to my craft station  . . . what shall I make for Joy?  Any suggestions people?

As Promised . . .

Hey all!  OMGoodness!!!  I've been on the run all day long and wasn't able to post my cards, as promised.  I made 2 cards, pretty much similar in layout.  My heart broke when I heard about the passing of Teri's mother.  Click {HERE} to go directly to her post.   We all at some point or another experience loss of a loved one.  I wanted to express my condolences to Teri and her family during this difficult time.  Here is the card I'll be sending her.

I also made another card for a dear friend who is also experiencing some hard times.  Just want her to know that she and her family are in my thoughts and that I'm praying for them.

Cherish every moment, every minute, every experience you have with your loved ones.  Embrace life & enjoy the JOURNEY together.

Just a Post . . . Out of Boredom!

Ok people . . . no posting of anything tonight.  Sorry, just listen to me ramble.  ;P

How many of you like Tiffany & Co.?  I do and so does my gf that's getting married at the end of the month.  She has this whole Tiffany blue with white satin ribbon theme going on.  It's a good idea, but when we, our group of friends, have to tie 200 ribbons (did that already) on the invitation . . . and then today, tying 300 white satin ribbons on the program & 300 white satin ribbons on the trademark blue box, you start to wonder, "What in the world was she thinking?"  What's even more hilarious it that we have to tie 300 more white satin ribbons on the Thank You cards!  Oh, don't get me wrong, we LUV our dear gf, but those white satin ribbons has gotten to us all.  I even dream about them bows!  I think I'll dream about them tonight!  :)  Ok, that was a good vent!  Thanks for sticking with me . . . But, I will share a couple of cards I made using Miss Anya Love.  JOURNEY back tomorrow.  Good-night!

RAK from a SWEETIE!

I was so surprised to get this in the mail yesterday . . .

It's from a SWEETIE ~ Brenda over at Sweet As A Gumdrop!  I was surprised and caught myself chuckling.  :)  You have to check out her creations because Brenda can whip up anything with a punch.  LITERALLY!  She had posted her latest punch art and made a panda.  Jokingly, I tossed out the idea of making some baby pandas.  Well, somtimes when you ask for something, sometimes you receive it!  Boy, did Brenda punch it out!  She made a family of 4 to go with this address book!

So adorable . . . I will treasure this SWEETIE!!  Thanks so much for thinking of me and making my day!!!  :)  Let's see where your JOURNEY will take you next?  Maybe making Cupid for Valentines Day?  {Clicking my heels like Dorothy!}

Easel Desktop Calendar

Denise over at TINKER Crafts sent me a couple of 2010 calendars (thanks so much).  I always wanted to try my hand at making a Easel Desktop Calendar . . . perfect!!!  So, I went straight to work on them.  Click {here} for the tutorial if you want to know how to make one.  Tammy Maxvill of Fun Paper Candy documented this tutorial.

I used my Paper Pretties stamp, Sophia Ballerina.  It looks like she's throwing a bunch of flowers in the air!  Colored her up with my copics and added some stickles for her tutu, some dew drops, and ribbon.  I also used my Martha Stewart punch (luv this one!) & my flower embossing folder for the background CS . . . and do you see the embossed dots around the oval scallop?  I did that with my dot embossing folder, all individually.  Crazy yeah!  There is a pull drawer to put small items inside.

I entered these in a few challenges:

YNS #7 - Your Next Stamp Challenge: Embossing

~ PWC85 -  Paper Pretties Sketch

Thanks for stopping in!
