You make me smile!

Hi there! I've got a quick post and a card to share with y'all!

Here is Capri Marci.  I just luv her casualness and laid back style.  I suppose that's why I went with this simple and laid back card.  The doily has so much detail in it already, I didn't want to overdo it.

I colored her with copics and paper pieced her shirt.  A few pearls, some flowers, a button and floss . . . that's it!  :)  Be sure to check out the Online Store for your Marci and Luka's!  Thanks for stoppin' in.

I {HEART} My Mom!

WARNING:  THIS WILL BE A LENGTHY POST DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF PICTURES TAKEN & ME JABBERING.  :)

*****************

TGIF . . . Welcome to Farm Fresh Friday over at TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Blog.  Today I'll be sharing with you my creation - - - I've made a purse and a matching card to go with it.  We all have a mom in our lives, whether it's our biological mom, MIL, old family friend or neighbor.  This week for Farm Fresh Friday, we want you to make a card or project to honor that special mom in your life.

Here's my purse and card.

Let's talk about this card . . . it's called the Magic Card.  I saw a card while blog surfing and fell in luv with it.  It was delicate looking and spoke volumes to me.  Yes, had to try it out.  I found it {HERE}.  If you look good, I altered 2 TGF images - - WS Stella's head and Flirty Anya's body.  I suppose she's now called a Flirty Stella.  :)

Flirty Stella stands out against that background don't ya think? Well, that background is a new set called SPLOTCHY.  You'll be able to purchase this set of 2 splotchy images on May 1st!  I sponged Victorian Velvet Distress Ink while still in the Circle Die and then stamped the Splotchy stamp with the same Distress Ink.  For more inspiration on using this SPLOTCHY set, check out the Splendid Stamping with TGF to see how the Design Team utilized this set.

Here's what the card looks like when you flip the cover open.  Once again, I used Splotchy around the sentiment.

Now here is my purse.  I saw a purse that I wanted to try on this blog {HERE}.  The measurements were in cm, not in inches.  If you're like me, I just improvise and make up my own measurements.  In this case, I had to because I used my Heart To Heart Lace Doily Die to cut out the heart shape on thin coasters.  From there, I played with the measurements.

This is the front of the purse.

This is a picture of the purse opened up.  Sorry, I had to lay it down to keep the purse open.  It can definitely hold some treats or something special.

The FFF challenges runs until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice!  Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> I heart Mom.

Pretty in Pink . . . and Yellow too!

Hey peeps!  I'm poppin' in for TGF Farm Fresh Challenge's Which One Wednesday!  Oh what a fun sketch we have for ya . . . check it out!  Our very own, Tasha, has put together a great layout!

Here's my take on the sketch.  I decided to go a bit wayward with this one.  Instead of sticking directly to the sketch, I pulled out my rounded & doily dies.  Pretty Miss Wild Sprout Daisy is colored in Distressed Inks - - I just luv the fun spring colors of yellows and pinks!

Daisy up close . . .

The WOW challenge runs until Tuesday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria>Farm Fresh Challenges 2011>WOW>Sketch 2.  The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF digi of choice!  Good luck and thanks for coming to visit!

Easter Blessings!

Just a quick post to say . . .

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

I made these petal cone carrots.  Click {HERE} to see the video tutorial on how to make these.  It was super easy!

These carrots were given to my son's teachers.

Here's the top view.

When you pull the button, the flaps are can be opened to access the goodies!  :)

Well, that's all I got for today!  I hope you're enjoying your day whether it be with family or friends.  Again, Easter blessing to all!

Move over Chef Marci . . . Someone new is taking over the bakery!

Well, well.  I'm back with a La-La Land Crafts post.

My son, along with the rest of the Kindergartners at his school, performed in a play/musical . . . Jack & the Beanstalk.  My son was a cook.

His performance inspired me to create a card using Chef Marci & Amour Luka.  How did I use both images?  I altered the two images - - I wanted the chef's outfit without Marci's face/hair.  Amour Luka was the perfect fit with his long pants.    This is how it came out!

Here's a closer look at Chef Luka.  I hope Irina, owner of La-La Land Crafts, would be proud of me that I created a "boy" chef.  :)

Well, my boy made me proud!  He had me beaming from ear to ear after watching him perform.  I hope this inspires you to create . . . have a great weekend!

Got Digi?

Hey y'all!  Welcome to another challenge with the gals over at Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. A lot of us are big fans of rubber stamps, but TGF also has a huge and equally adorable selection of digital stamps. This week we want you to bring out your favorite TGF Digi Stamps!   You heard right, make anything you want,  just use a TGF digi stamp on your project!

Marie recently posted a sweet gift to all of us TGF fans!  She gave us Easter Ian and Easter Anya . . . for FREE!  You can click {HERE} to snag them.  I hear that they may poof away soon!  :)

I created an egg box for my son and daughter for Easter.  Good thing these were in digi format because I had to shrink them down to fit on top of the boxes.

Here's a peek of the inside of the egg box.  Nestled in the box are 6 chocolate eggs!

I not only made 2, but made a whole bunch of these boxes!  My hubby took half of them to work to give the secretaries.  My son took a couple to school to give to his teachers and I gave several to some friends.

The FFF challenges runs until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice!  Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> Digital Get Down.  Good luck!

Mystery Monday's CASE'ing . . .

I sure hope you had a great weekend! Today is Mystery Monday's over at the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. We are CASE'ing a very special card by Wanda, click {HERE} to see her beautiful card.

Here is my take on Wanda's card. I fell in luv with the reds in her card that I decided to CASE that into my card. The layout of my card is flip flopped from Wanda's creation and used one of the Anya's in the Miss Anya Collection. She is perfect for an Easter card holding some flowers in her basket. I added a banner with the sentiment, "Happy Easter Sweetie!". Yes, Easter is soon approaching and I have lots to do. I am dedicating this week to Easter projects/cards so stay tuned!

The Monday CASE contest runs until Sunday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  Upload your creation to the Galleria > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays Case > Stampcatwg.  The winner will be chosen by a random drawing and will receive a free TGF single of choice.  Good luck and thanks for stoppin' by!

Cherished Friend . . .

Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday.  This is going to be a quickie post since I've got to be gettin' ready head out the door.

For weeks on end, I wanted to play in Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge, but couldn't . . . just been busy and swamped.  Well, this week was no different.  However, I was able to put this card together since I had Charlotte with a Rose already colored up.  Here's my take on the sketch - SCRSC38.

I distressed the background around Charlotte with Broken China and also distressed the second doily with the same color.  The beaded pin was given to me by my dear friend Kris (thanks girl!) and thought it was the perfect embellishment!

Anyways, gotta be going.  I'll be back tomorrow for a Farm Fresh Challenge!   Ta-ta!

True Friendship Needs No Words . . .

Well, hello there!  I'm back to share another creation with you.

I made a card using Sweetheart Marci.  Can you tell I went a little wild with all the hearts!  At first glance, the colors seem so patriotic . . . nothing wrong with that right?  The bold, rich reds and blues fit perfectly for Sweetheart Marci as she holds her strung hearts.  You'll be able to get her {HERE}.

I colored Sweetheart Marci with Distress Inks and kept the layout pretty simple.

Thanks for stoppin' by today.  If you get a chance, check out the LLLC Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team!  :)  Have a happy Saturday!

Well, That's Distressing!

Today is Farm Fresh Friday over at the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog!  This week, we would like you to DISTRESS your TGF project! Rough up the edges, ink them up, whatever you like, just show us your best distressing techniques. And remember, now you can use ANY TGF stamp that you want to!

For this card, I went all out on the distressing.  I colored Creeper Crew Noah from the Creepin Kit in Distress Inks - Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Brushed Corduroy,  Weathered Wood.  Before distressing the paper edges with my distressing tool, I brushed Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain with my blending tool.  Phew, so much distressing . . . well, that's distressing!

A closer look at Noah.

The FFF challenges runs until Thurs, entries are due by 12 PM CST. The winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice! Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> Distressing.  Good luck and I hope you can join the challenge!  Thanks for stoppin' by!

- live - laugh - love -

Today is Which One Wednesday . . . WOW!  This week, we have our very FIRST sketch challenge created by our Team Captain Rach!   You don't want to miss what the DT has created on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog!

Here is the sketch . . .

This is my take on the sketch.  I used Wild Sprout Ruby for this card and colored her in Distress Inks.  For some reason, I've never inked her up . . . she looked kind of hippy-ish so I went with some funky papers and some flowers!  FLOWER POWER!  :)

Here's a close-up of Ruby.   I still need to practice my coloring with Distress Inks.  It's not as easy as it looks, but I just luv that I can now use a different form of coloring.  Sometimes my copics need a break!  :)

Anyway, the WOW challenges runs until Tuesday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria>Farm Fresh Challenges 2011>WOW>Sketch 1.  The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF digi of choice!  Good luck and thanks for coming to visit!

Mystery Monday . . . SMILE!

Happy Monday!  I hope y'all had a great weekend!  As for me and my family, the "bug" has hit us once again . . . we are going on Round 2 with sore throats, coughs, and runny noses.  How miserable, but you just gotta roll with the punches right?  :)

Today is Mystery Monday CASE'ing . . . Markie's Mom!  Check out the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog to see the wonderful CASE'ings the DT put together!

Here is my take on Markie's Mom's card.  I used Creeper Crew Jill from the Creepin Kit.  I colored her with my copics a couple of weeks ago and I'm glad I didn't used her until today.  She looks a little, tiny bit grumpy, but as the sentiment says, "SMILE"!  Yep, even if we're all feelin' miserable from colds, we have to SMILE . . . at least we know the cold will go away if we take our vitamins, drink a lot of water, and get rest.

A close up of Jill.  You can't really see it, but I added Glossy Accents to her eyes.  Thought it was fitting to have glassy eyes, just like when one is sick.  :)

The Mystery Monday CASE contest runs until next Sunday.  Entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner will be chosen by random draw winning a free TGF single stamp of choice.  Please post your cards in the TGF Galleria >Farm Fresh Challenges 2011>Mystery Mondays>Markie's Mom.

All Boy!

Boys, boys, boys!  What would we do without them?  Well, it's time to bring out your TGF boy images and join us over at TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Blog for Farm Fresh Friday this week . . . Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Here's my card using Wild Sprout Tank (thanks Kim!).  I thought about my eldest son while making this card 'cause he loves different hairstyles!  Why?  Probably because he has a shaved head.  It's easier for us, as parents, to manage & he sweats easily.  My son always asks if he could grow a long tail (his best friend has a tail).  He also asks to have a Mohawk (his cousin has one) . . . YIKES!

So, my dear son, here's your Mohawk!  You can live your dream through mommy's card!  :)

You can even have a Mohawk with green highlights!

That's it for me!  The FFF challenges runs until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice!   Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> For the Boys.

You Are My Sunshine

This week, we'd like to see SPRING COLORS on your project.  Be sure to check out the challenge blog to see what the Design Team created.  Here is my take using some Spring pastel colors.  I used one of the Anya's from the Miss Anya Hats Off set.   She's colored with copics in mostly yellows and purples.

She's definitely bringing some sunshine my way!  :)

Thanks for stoppin' by!  The WOW challenges runs until Tuesday, entries are due by 12 PM CST. Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> WOW> Spring Colors!

Well hello there!  Today is Mystery Monday . . . the girls over at Farm Fresh Challenge Blog are CASE'ing . . . MamaMaxa!  She created such a luv-ly card!  I get the vintage feel and the blues and browns definitely SCREAM Christmas.  Here is MamaMaxa's card:

Now, here is my take.  I luv pink so I went with it . . . again, I practiced my coloring with Distress Inks and used Creeper Crew Sasha from the Creepin Kit.  She's sort of a wicked girly girl don't ya think?   I added a doily, some lace, a few flowers, and pearls.

Here's Sasha up close.

Come join in on the fun . . . upload your CASE card to:  TGF Gallery>Farm Fresh Challenges 2011>Mystery MondaysYou have up until Sunday, April 10th to win a free single stamp of your choice!  Thanks for visiting!

Sittin' here thinking of you . . .

I hope you're having a pleasant Saturday!  I'm here to share with you a card I made using Capri Marci.  She is part of the Playtime Collection which you can purchase {HERE}.

Simple and to the point . . . I reckon I achieved that!

Along with this card, I made a little gift bag using my Sizzix Bigz XL Bag w/ Scallops.  Just add some candies or some other goodies inside and it will surely put a smile on any one's face!

Be sure to check out the LLLC Blog for a whole lot of inspiration by the Design Team!   Thanks for visiting and have yourselves a great weekend!

SNS Sneak Peek Day 2 - Spring Penelope and Fibonacci

Welcome to Day 2 of Amy Young's Sweet November Stamps April Release!

Meet Spring Penelope.  She's just a-strollin' in her garden clenching her mushroom umbrella.  I think the clouds overhead may bring some spring showers, however, Penelope never worries.  As long as she's got a smile on her face, everything is all good!  Fibonacci, her slithery, snail friend, is along for the stroll as well.

Thanks for stoppin' in today.  Spring Penelope & Fibonacci will be available for purchase at All That Scraps on April 3rd!  Don't forget to check out Amy's blog & SNS Gals Rachel and Nancy's blogs.  Stop in tomorrow for the last sneak peek!  :)
