La-La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge 49 - SHAKE IT!

Hello bloggers!  OMG . . . our hostess, MAUREEN, has a fun challenge for you!  Create a shaker card using microbead, assorted beads, dew drops, glitter, or whatever you think can SHAKE IT UP!  Check out the La-La Land Crafts Blog to see all the DT's shaker cards for ideas!  :)

Here's my card for this challenge.  I used Princess Lala for my shaker.

You can purchase her for 20% off only for the week of this challenge at the Online Store!  I just luv the oranges from the BasicGrey Ambrosia Paper Pad.

For my shaker, I used an assortment of beads and microbeads in clear and black as well as some dew drops.

I created a pull at the top of the shaker card revealing a message.  These were the pieces leftover from me using my nesties to cut out the frame for my shaker.  Can't let paper go to waste!  :)

Ta-da!  Here's the pull out card next to my shaker card.  Come on over to La-La Land and join us for this challenge!  Thanks for checking in!

La-La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge 48 - UPCYCLE IT!

Hey there bloggers!  Ready for La-La Land's Weekly Wednesday ChallengeCHERYL, our hostess this week, has a great one for ya!  She challenges us to an UPCYCLE IT!  Who doesn't have things just laying around or have something that will spark some inspiration?  Yep, just look around and there are tons of items that you could recycle.

Here's what I found while searching through my clutter of stuff.  See that beaded charm attached to the blue bow?  I didn't know I had that and thought it would be great if I used it since it was just taking up "space".  I believe it's a cell phone or key chain charm of some sort.

I used Pumpkin Lala minus her pumpkin and inked up the little bird from the stamp image Rosie with Bird.  Seems patriotic but not really . . . however, it is still July isn't it?  :)

Here's a closer look at Pumpkin Lala & her feathery friend, Bird.

Come join us in the challenge!  Fairy Lala will be on sale for 20% off only for the week of this challenge at the Online Store

And stay tuned because La-La Land is celebrating it's 1 year birthday come August!  Yippy . . . there will be a blog hop throughout the first week of August with lots of games and prizes galore!  :)

Hey all!  Can you believe another post from me?  :)  Tamiko's has a challenge for you!  All you have to do is create something and use your FLOWERS.  Easy peasy!

Here's my card using Miko from the ROLL CALL set.

I tried to incorporate a bunch of my TGF stamps into the card as well as using a DP with lots of printed flowers.  The springy flowers are from the SUNSHINE set and the sentiment is from the Grammie & Gramps set.

Click {HERE} for all the details on the challenge.  Be sure to check out all the Creative Teams blogs too!  :)  You can purchase these TGF stamps at Tamiko's Online Store.  If you order over $25, shipping will be FREE (only delivery in the USA)!

La-La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge 47 - Black, White, + 1 Color Challenge

Welcome to La-La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge.  I am the hostess for this challenge and I do hope you'll participate!

I came up with a challenge to create something using only BLACK, WHITE, + 1 COLOR of your choice.  Here, I used Bubble Lala which you can purchase at the Online Store.  She comes with 4 sentiments, one of which I used for my card.  Plus, Bubble Lala is 20% off only for the week of this challenge!

Do you see my black, white, + 1?  I used purple as my 1 color choice.  Bubble Lala is colored with my C's copics ranging from C0-C9.  I also used my BV's for outlining the stamped image & for moderate coloring.

Diamond Glaze was added to the bubbles to give it a BUBBLY, SHINY feel.  I even used it on the sentiment "Spoil Yourself" . . .

I entered this card in Color Me Copic's first challenge - using a black and white technique .  It's been ages since I entered any challenges so I'm thrilled!

Thanks for stoppin' in and have a great week!

A Ton of Thanks . . .

I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July.  We had a quiet evening of good food and time spent with family.  The hubby grilled hamburgers . . . the kids enjoyed their pop-pops, sparklers, and fireworks before eating vanilla ice cream and brownies!  The night ended with watching the fireworks from our balcony ~ we are able to see right down to Pearl Harbor and Hickam as well as Diamond Head.   :)  It's always a pleasure to view the firework shows during this time and New Year's in the comfort of our home.

Boy, last week was insane!  This was the first year my son attended our church's VBS (Vacation Bible School) and he had a blast!  It started last Monday and ended Friday {5p - 8p}.  Not only were we busy with that, we had my grandmother's funeral on Monday as well.  It was a nice, private service with burial right after lunch.  On Saturday, my family gathered again for dinner at my brother's house since my Aunt & Cousin flew in from California for the funeral and were leaving the next day.

My mother had asked me to make Thank You cards for those that offered condolences so I worked on that throughout the week.  Here's one of the 60+ cards that I made . . . quiet yet simple.

Thanks for stopping in . . . hopefully, I'll have more free time this week to check in on y'all.  :)
